Originally founded in 2004, The Shifters are a family-owned and operated business with the management having amassed over forty years combined experience in removals, property clearance & transport.

We initially identified a need for customers who had varied transport requirements beyond a straight-forward house move and have adapted our services to help where other companies cannot.

Whilst traditional removals still account for over half of our business, we also provide single-item & multi-drop deliveries, full and part property clearance, packing service and materials, containerised storage and hourly-hire vehicles and staff.

Our company has been thoroughly vetted and approved by Trading Standards, The Guild of Professional Removals and The Environment Agency.

From your initial enquiry to the completion of your job, you'll find us courteous, knowledgeable, professional and above all, excellent value for money. We only use our own employed staff, never temporary or agency staff and all of our vehicles are modern, liveried and thoroughly maintained.

Due to our high standards, a large proportion of our business now comes from recommendation and our Client base includes Estate Agents, Solicitors, Registered Charities, Housing Associations, Self-Storage Facilities, Church Organisations and numerous Blue-Chip companies.
